What measures can be taken to prevent Acne?

The measures taken to prevent acne can be either medicated or non-medicated. Acne is curable via first-class skin care or drugs. However, medication must only be taken when non-medicated treatments or home remedies do not work.

The treatments usually commended are topical medication, oral medication, antibiotics, photo therapy or laser treatments, cosmetic therapies and skin surgery. Topical medication involves the use of medicated creams or lotions to cure mild to moderate acne. Oral medication and antibiotics are usually used to treat moderate to severe acne. Light therapy, cosmetic therapy and skin surgery is most commonly considered to be a last resort and avoided in simple cases because of their severe side effects. Modern techniques such as soft tissue fillers and skin polishes and dermabrasion are used to get rid of the scars that acnes leave behind. These treatments are only used when there is an uncontrollable outbreak of acnes. Alongside all these, home remedies which include the usage of lotions, limiting the exposure of the affected skin to chemicals such as shampoos, scrubs, face masks, cleansers and make-up can also help to prevent acne.

The above mentioned home remedies and medical assistance can be practiced to prevent the growth and formation of acne. It is better to sure acne at any earlier stage because an outbreak can be disastrous at times.
