Does lack of sleep cause acne

Yes. Lack of sleep does cause acne but it is not the only reason for its cause. Other factors like unhealthy diet and lack of water. can also cause acne. It can effect to almost all age group. But, mostly teens are affected due to their hectic study and work schedules. The causes that affect the skin by acne are many but sleep affects the most. Sleep is the most important thing needed by your body along with food, water and air. Trying to cure your acne by following a healthy diet or by taking some high dosed supplements doesn’t work. Along with other options, right amount of sleep also becomes a part of your acne cure procedure.

Only perfect amount of sleep does not work, perfect quality of sleep is the most essential thing. As explained by many specialists human body requires at least 8 hours of sleep a day. Lack of sleep may also cause other health issues. Health issues indirectly affect your skin and can worsen the acne. The main cause behind acne is the increased inflammation which is caused by the lack of quality sleep. It may also increase your stress which ultimately results into acne.
