Drugs to Cure Acne Rosacea

Acne Rosacea is a chronic and non curable disease but it can be stopped from progressing by appropriate treatment and drugs. Certain types of rosacea can be eliminated with the help of photodynamic therapy, laser, chemical peel, skin grafting or isotretinoin. Rosacea can be treated by using oral and topical anti biotic pills and creams, sulfa-based face washes depending on the rate and harshness of the acne rosacea; however they should not be taken without doctor’s advice. Many people need a combination of treatment consisting of home remedy and medication. Home remedy includes washing the affected area by sulfa-based face wash according to the prescription of doctor, apply an anti bacterial cream twice a day, and intake of oral antibiotics such as amoxicillin, minocycline and tetracycline.

Use of gentle cleansers and shampoos with minimum amount of chemicals and high proportion of natural substances should be used to stop the evolution of acne rosacea. People nowadays are switching on to laser and intense pulsed light which promotes the skin complexion and eliminate the visibility of blood vessels and redness on the areas subjected to acne rosacea, however this treatment is safe. Laser treatment can be done in association with photodynamic therapy to see more visible changes.
