What is Acne?

Acne is a chronic disorder of the hair follicles and sebaceous glands. Some of the characteristics of acne include black heads, pimples, cysts, infected abscesses, and rarely scarring. Acne usually occurs during adolescence in both men and women. To be more specific, acne starts during puberty and tends to get worse for people with oily skin. Acne badly affects teenage boys. Only mild to moderate forms of acne occur in middle-aged women. Acne can be seen most commonly on the face. The other places where it can occur include the back, shoulders, upper arms and legs, scalp, chest and neck. Most forms of acne are the result of heredity and hormonal problems and has nothing to do with a harmful diet or poor hygiene.

How Acne Begins? -

Acne gives the combination of symptoms like greasy skin, white heads, black heads, pimples, inflammation and scar formation. Acne mostly affects young people in the age 14 - 25, but also sometimes older persons, like women in their menopause. The skin has several layers: The outer layer called epidermis. Under this lies the dermis consisting of connective tissue. At the bottom a layer called the hypodermis consisting of fat cells.

Acne and Constipation -

Acne is a very common skin problem which is also related to constipation. It is proved that constipation can also speed up and worsen acne in some case. The reason is during constipation your body will secrete large amount of toxins which results in acne breakouts. Therefore individuals with constipation problem also may have a chance for acne in their skin. By preventing constipation, you can overcome this skin problem or acne.

Tips on Getting Rid of Acne -

There are many different causes for acne. The complication is not in knowing why acne occurs; it is identifying the cause for the acne. There are some basic acne treatments that everyone can experiment with when it comes to getting rid of acne. All you have to do is focus on eating foods that have high levels of vitamins A, B12, B, E, B5, & B6. You can also substitute with vitamins or supplements.

Acne and Stress -

Some scientific studies have shown that stress affects the skin in an adverse manner and causes the body to release oil that increases the chances of an appearance of acne on the skin. This does not imply that stress is a cause of acne but it sure is a trigger for the cause of acne. In some cases excessive stress may aggravate the acne problem.

Acne and Green Tea -

Most body related issues have home or natural remedies that very often have no side effects and are quite effective in curing the issue. In the case of acne we find that there are a lot of ways in which the issue can be treated at home without much effort or hassles.

Aspirin and Acne -

Aspirin, applied topically, is one of the best treatments for acne. These treatments can be in the form of masks or medicinal washes. Aspirin contains acetylsalicylic acid, and therefore fights acne by cleaning out pores, clearing debris from the skin and reducing inflammation.
