Acne nodules and cysts

Acne nodules and cysts are caused when the level of severity increases in acne vulgaris. Acne nodules are made up of acne spots that are quite large and painful as compared to lesions. They may even lasts for more than a month. They are basically bumps that are hard and large and are situated under the surface of skin. They also cause scarring in many people. If the nodules are not treated well, they may appear again or leave some spots behind. Try to avoid popping or squeezing these acne nodules as this will worsen the case more and will take more time to heal. There are several treatments that you can opt for in order to lessen the lesions. Cysts may look similar to acne nodules but they consist of pus at the center of the bump.

This can be quite painful at times and that affected area becomes more sensitive. They infection will increase if you will try to pick them and the inflammation will stay for longer time comparatively. The scars and the swelling can be reduced by taking advice from a dermatologist. So make sure that you treat them immediately to minimize further side effects on the skin.
