Acne during menopauseAcne can occur during menopause. During menopausal stage, the hormonal instabilities induced which in turn decline the production of the ovaries and soon it will stop completely cause many changes in the human body. The symptoms of menopause include dryness, sleep disruption, irritation, hot flashes and general physical discomfort. Acne during menopause starts in perimenopause which can be quite disturbing. The skin cells usually regenerate quickly and replace the old cells. Hormones such as DHEA, testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone, the sebaceous gland get sensitive and start producing more skin oil. As a result, you skin will have more facial oil and also more dead skin cells. And that leads to up to clogging of oil and dead cells on the face. If this process continues, acne flairs up very soon. To prevent or lessen the acne occurrence have balanced diet with more calcium and fiber rich foods. |
