Acne and ExercisingDoing mild exercise everyday keeps you in good health and also plays a vital role in stress management thereby keeping your skin healthy and shiny. There are several factors responsible for exercise related acne which should be taken care of while exercising. Avoid wearing makeup while doing exercise as they block the pores of the skin resulting in the development of acne. After exercising, rinse off your skin immediately so that clogging due to perspiration can be avoided. Avoid wearing synthetic garments made of nylon or Lycra as it blocks the moisture and heat caused due to exercise and allowing the bacteria to reside in it thereby developing acne. Opt for loose and lightweight clothes that allow the passage of air through clothes. Apply sunscreen lotion which is oil-free when you are doing outdoor exercise because sunscreen protects your skin from harmful UV rays thereby protecting the skin from damage. Sunscreen also clogs the pores so wash it off immediately after doing exercise. After playing games or workout take a shower immediately if possible or change the sweating clothes into a new one before going back to home. After washing face use a clean and neat napkin to wipe off your face but rigorous wiping can lead to cause irritation of the skin. |
